‘Screen-Free Saturday’ Guided Hike

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (arrive 15 minutes early to check-in at the Nature Center and pay)

Adults and families alike are welcome to come unplug and unwind on a leisurely 1-mile hike along a Chicopee Woods trail with an Elachee Naturalist. Leave all your screens (digital devices) in the car and immerse yourself in the woods for Elachee’s inaugural Screen-Free Saturday Hike!

Why ‘Screen-Free’?

We all know that kids, teens and adults spend too much time on devices. Tragically, Preschool-age children spend between 2-5 hours a day using electronics, with older children and teens averaging some 7 hours a day. Adults aren’t immune; we spend about 11 hours a day on screens (yikes!). Logically, we know so much screen time isn’t healthy. Ditch the device and relish the entertainment you will encounter in this urban forest.
