Mark Warren: Ways of the Cherokee Programs

Elachee is excited to once again host award-winning Naturalist and primitive skills expert, Mark Warren! 

You may register for one or both of the program offerings.

Session 1: Ancient Ways of the Cherokee and How We Use Them Today

10:00-11:00 am

In the first session, Mark will give a lecture on the ancient ways of the Cherokee, including how some of the most common native plants were used by the Cherokee for food, medicine, entertainment and much more.

Session 2: Through the Eyes of the Cherokee Guided Hike

12:00-1:00 pm

In the second session, Mark will lead a guided hike in Chicopee Woods from the perspective of the ancient Cherokee, discussing the gifts of nature that supplied the Cherokee with their everyday needs. Trail is approximately .64 miles long with varied terrain.

Cost per program: $12/person, $10/member or veteran

Pre-registration required

Ages 12 and up
