Enrollment for the 2018-2019 academic year is now open: REGISTER NOW

The per student enrollment fee covers Elachee’s accredited 9-session program series that runs September 2018 through May 2019. For less than $23 per session, your student will receive 22.5 hours of unique STEAM-based environmental instruction.

  • $200 = Non-Member Per Student Enrollment Fee
  • $175 = Elachee Member* Per Student Enrollment Fee

*Elachee Membership must be active at the time of enrollment and remain current through the full program series.

Program Overview

The Junior Master Naturalist Program Series captivates home school students, grades 6-12, ages 12 to 18 years, with hands-on exploration of Georgia habitats and ecosystems. 

Programs take place September through May. Unless stated otherwise (*), programs are the first Wednesday of the month from 1:30-4 p.m. at Elachee Nature Science Center in Gainesville, Ga. 

Presented in a small group setting, programs combine indoor/outdoor exploration utilizing the incredible resources of Elachee Nature Science Center in the Chicopee Woods Nature Preserve and nearby Lake Sidney Lanier. 

Elachee’s innovative STEAM-based environmental programming covers many math and science standards. Students enjoy learning experiences that delve into ecological relationships, water study, astronomy, biology, physics and more!
