The Elachee Visitor Center and Exhibits are open today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for general admission (see details below). Visitors must follow CDC social distancing guidelines, as well as posted instructions. Masks or other appropriate facial coverings are required for all indoor areas. 

Parking: All vehicles subject to the Chicopee Woods Area Park Commission parking fee.

Morning and Afternoon Activities: Live Animal Showcases

Saturday, April 17, 2021 enjoy meeting some of the Elachee resident animals as part of an exploration of our Live Animal Exhibit, guided by an Elachee Naturalist. Visitors may register online until 2 p.m., April 16, 2021 for a program session. Evening Activity: Stars Over Elachee Telescope Program

Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 7:45-9:45 p.m. at Chicopee Lake

Reserve a telescope for the February 20, 2021 Stars Over Elachee astronomy program.

Elachee has eight (8) telescopes available. Reservations per telescope are for up to five (5) individuals *from the same family or friend group. Reserve your telescope for the Stars Over Elachee telescope program.

Learn to set up and use a telescope, then embark on a guided tour of the night sky to see the first quarter moon and bright seasonal stars. This Elachee astronomy education program is most meaningful for adults and children aged 8 and older. Program begins at dusk. Bring a flashlight and pencil. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Only registered participants allowed during the Stars Over Elachee program. All participants are subject to CDC guidance for social distancing. Dress for the weather. No restrooms or indoor facilities. Dog and pets prohibited on campus.
