PROGRAM: Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Therapy Walk)
Date & Time
October 06th, 2018 9:00 AM
As part of the Nature Center’s Life-long Learning programming series, Elachee welcomes Certified Forest Therapy Guide Robin Hancock to guide you through a Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Therapy Walk) experience.
OVERVIEW: This is an adult-only walk (from 9 a.m. to Noon) covering a 1/4- to 1/2-mile in distance over well maintained trails in Chicopee Woods Nature Preserve. Participants will be offered a series of invitations during this 3-hour walk that will reconnect you to the natural world. Unlike hiking or strolling in nature, a Forest Therapy experience (sometimes referred to as forest bathing) invites you to use all of your senses to become immersed in the Forest, imparting to the participant physiological, mental, and even spiritual benefits. Though individual experiences vary greatly, each participant will leave the walk having received according to their personal needs.
PROGRAM FEE: Pre-Registration Required $55 per person (Adults Only) REGISTER NOW
