To Be Rescheduled - PROGRAM: Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing)
Date & Time
May 19th, 2018 9:00 AM
Canceled for May 19: to be Rescheduled
Due to inclement weather, Elachee will reschedule the Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing) experience.
As part of the Nature Center’s Life-long Learning programming series, Elachee welcomes Certified Forest Therapy Guide Robin Hancock to guide you through a Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing) experience.
OVERVIEW: This is an adult-only walk (from 9 a.m. to Noon) covering a quarter to half a mile in distance over well maintained trail in Chicopee Woods Nature Preserve. Participants will be offered a series of invitations during this 3-hour walk that will reconnect you to the natural world. Unlike hiking or strolling in nature, a Forest Bathing experience invites you to use all of your senses to become immersed in the Forest, imparting to the participant physiological, mental, and even spiritual benefits. Though individual experiences vary greatly, each participant will leave the walk having received according to their personal needs.
PROGRAM FEE: $55 per person (Adults Only)
Note: Program fee includes a CWAPC Daily Parking Pass for May 19, 2018.
CHECK-IN and park in Elachee ‘overflow’ parking lot. When crossing the bridge over I-985, continue straight into this gravel lot.
CHECK LIST: Adequate footwear is important, please come appropriately prepared for the weather and bring water. Pack It In, Pack It Out, Leave No Trace®
