Guest Speaker: Andrew Linker

Topic: “Small-Scale Organic Farming in North Georgia”

An overview of the local food scene in Northeast Georgia with an emphasis on resources for consumers, farmers, gardeners, and organizations to participate in and understand small-scale, organically-grown food. Andrew will introduce and define popular terms and labels regarding Organics and share ways to encourage a better food system in this community!

About the Speaker

Andrew Linker is the Director of the Georgia Mountains Farmers Network, a group of local and sustainable farmers seeking to share ideas and increase the impact of local foods in the region. He enjoys connecting people to their food as a master gardener, environmental educator, market manager, farmer, and volunteer.
