Discovery Saturday at Elachee is presented by Northside Hospital, host programming sponsor New Urban Forestry and Discovery Saturday sponsor Syfan Logistics, Inc.
Pollinator Exhibitors
These guest exhibits are included with the cost of admission to Elachee.
Gather information about Georgia pollinators, view live caterpillar and butterfly specimens, pollinator plants and children may enjoy a special activity!

Summer Foraging and Wild Foods Cooking
Guest Presenter: Cara-Lee Langston, Founder of Wildcraft Kitchens
Program Fee: $60 Per Person (Elachee Members $55) Limited to 16 Participants (restricted to ages 12 and up)

Wildcraft Kitchen Workshop Registration
In this 2-part workshop, participants will learn how to safely identify, ethically gather and thoughtfully prepare wild foods and herbs that we find growing in our region in the summertime. This program is restricted to ages 12+ and a maximum of 16 participants. Our workshop begins with a plant and fungi identification hike on the beautiful grounds at Elachee where we will closely observe botanicals that can be used as food or medicine. We will then head back to the kitchen and work hands-on to prepare a light wild foods tasting picnic and refreshing herbal beverage to enjoy together. Participants will receive lots of resources to take home.
Live Animal Showcases
Meet Elachee’s Live Animal Ambassadors during a 45-minute presentation with an Elachee Teaching Naturalist and then tour the Live Animal Exhibit.
Program Fee: $5 Per Adult, $3 Per Child (ages 2 to 12), Elachee Member FREE Limited to 20 Participants
Program Session Times: 11am and 1pm
