High School Leadership Program

Camp Elachee 2021 is presented by Elachee annual platinum sponsor Northside Hospital.Who better to carry on the Camp Elachee tradition than former campers? Come back as a Counselor-In-Training (CIT). 

At Camp Elachee, we offer high school students (rising 9-12th Grade) the incredible opportunity to gain leadership and team-building skills. Supervised by the Camp Director and mentored by the Program Assistant and Camp Counselors, CITs will learn the skills needed to work with children in an outdoor camp setting. ​

Camp Elachee 2021 summer day camps take place for nine (9) consecutive weeks, June 1 through July 30. Limited CIT positions are available each camp week! Versión en español.

Work Requirements: Minimum of two (2) full week camp sessions for the 2021 camp season. Must be able to hike a minimum of two (2) miles per day on uneven terrain and to comfortably work outside for extended periods in the summer heat and rain.

CIT Application and Registration Process

Students interested in becoming a Camp Elachee CIT should email the Camp Director, maranda@elachee.orgApplicants will be interviewed prior to registration.

Once accepted and registered, CITs will be assigned a camp group with which they will assist throughout the week. CITs will help Camp Counselors provide activities to campers in a safe and well-supervised environment while also learning and practicing new leadership skills. ​

Counselors-in-Training Camp Fee: $100 per CIT (one fee for the entire 2021 Camp season)

Elachee supporters make possible financial assistance for Camp Elachee participants. Call 770-535-1976 to request a copy of the Camp Elachee financial aid guidelines and application. Requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. There is no guarantee of a financial aid award.
