Who better to carry on the Camp Elachee tradition than former campers? Rising 9-12th grade students; come back as Counselors-In-Training (CITs).

School Break Adventures

 

As a CIT at Camp Elachee, teens gain leadership and team-building skills.

Supervised by the Camp Director and mentored by the Program Assistant, CITs will help Camp Counselors provide activities to campers in a safe and well-supervised outdoor setting.

Work Requirements

Camp Elachee summer day camps take place for nine (9) consecutive weeks. Limited CIT positions are available each camp week.

Work Requirements: Minimum of two (2) full week camp sessions for the 2021 camp season. Must be able to hike a minimum of two (2) miles per day on uneven terrain and to comfortably work outside for extended periods in the summer heat and rain.

CIT Application and Registration

Camp Registration Opens February 1

  • Teens interested in becoming a Camp Elachee CIT should email the Camp Director, elachee@elachee.org.
  • The Camp Director will invite applicants to a face-to-face interview prior to registration in late spring.
  • Once accepted and registered, CITs will be assigned a camp group with which they will assist throughout the week.
  • Counselors-in-Training Camp Fee: Per CIT (one fee for the entire Camp season)
Financial Aid

Elachee supporters make possible financial assistance for Camp Elachee participants.

After Camp Elachee registration opens February 1, call 770-535-1976 to request a copy of the Camp Elachee financial aid guidelines and application. Requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. There is no guarantee of a financial aid award.
