Directions
There are two entrances into the Nature Preserve. One leads to the Nature Center and the other to the Aquatic Studies Center.
Nature Center Entrance: Main Campus
From Atlanta and South on I-85:
I-85 N to I-985 toward Gainesville. Take Exit 17. Turn left off the ramp onto GA 13 (Atlanta Highway). Continue north on Atlanta Hwy past the Golf Course on the right. Turn at the next right and a quick right onto Elachee Drive. Follow Elachee Drive for 1 mile through the golf course, across bridge over I-985, and bear left around curve leading to museum center parking lot.From the North on I-985/365:
Take Hwy. 365/I-985 south to Exit 17. Turn right off the ramp onto GA 13 (Atlanta Highway). Continue north on GA 13 past the Golf Course on the right. Turn at the next right and a quick right onto Elachee Drive. Follow Elachee Drive for 1 mile through the golf course, across bridge over I-985, and bear left around curve leading to museum center parking lot.From Hwy. 400:
Take Exit 17 for Gainesville/Hwy. 306. Turn east onto Hwy. 306. At the 3rd traffic signal turn right onto Hwy. 369. Travel 10+ miles toward Gainesville. Go through major intersection and traffic signal at McEver Rd. Continue straight on Hwy. 369. At next traffic signal turn right onto Memorial Park Drive. Go to end of road. Turn right (south) onto Atlanta Hwy (Hwy 13). Continue south over the railroad. Take the third left and a quick right onto Elachee Drive. Follow Elachee Drive for 1 mile through the golf course, across bridge over I-985, and bear left around curve leading to museum center parking lot.Aquatic Studies Center Entrance:
Chicopee Lake 
From the South on I-85:
I-85 North to I-985 toward Gainesville. Take Exit 16 – Oakwood. Turn right off the ramp onto Hwy 53. Turn left at second light onto Atlanta Hwy (Hwy 13). Turn right at first stoplight onto Poplar Springs Rd. Turn left onto Poplar Springs Church Rd. Turn left onto Calvary Church Rd. The Aquatic Studies center will be on the left at the bottom of the hill. Watch for our white fence.
From the North on I-985/365:
From Hwy 400:
Follow directions above to Atlanta Hwy (Hwy13). Continue south on Atlanta Hwy (Hwy 13) past the entrance to Elachee on your left. Continue south on Atlanta Highway over I-985 and past Blackshear Place Library and Da Vinci Academy. Turn left at the light onto Poplar Springs Rd. Turn left onto Poplar Springs Church Rd. Turn left onto Calvary Church Rd. The Aquatic Studies Center will be on the left at the bottom of a hill. Watch for our white fence.Lake Lanier: Aqualand Marina:
From the South on I-85:
Take I-85 north to I-985 north to Exit #8, Friendship Rd. Turn left on Friendship Rd and go to 4th traffic light, McEver Rd. Turn right onto McEver Rd and go to 2nd traffic light, Light’s Ferry Rd. Turn left onto Light’s Ferry Rd and go 1.5 miles to Aqualand Marina. Take the 2nd left past the guard shack and park in the lot for Dock ZM.
From the North on I-985:
Take I-985 south to Exit #8, Friendship Road. Turn right on Friendship Road and continue to intersection with McEver Road. Turn right on McEver Road and go to 2nd traffic light, Light's Ferry Road. Turn left onto Light's Ferry Road and go 1.5 miles to Aqualand Marina. Take 2nd left past the guard shack and park in the lot for Dock ZM.
From Hwy. 400:
Take GA Hwy. 20 east to Peachtree Industrial. Turn left onto Peachtree Industrial. This road will change names to McEver Rd. Take McEver to Light’s Ferry Rd. Turn left onto Light’s Ferry Rd and go 1.5 miles to Aqualand Marina. Take the 2nd left past the guard shack and park in the lot for Dock ZM.
