A Note to Teachers

Our talented and professional staff is ready to present north Georgia's most extensive and exciting environmental education curriculum to your students. All of our classes are correlated with both the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) and Gwinnett County Schools' Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) and are characterized by hands-on learning opportunities and interactions with the plants, animals and natural systems of the Chicopee Woods Nature Preserve. Classes can take place at the Nature Center, our Aquatic Center, Aqualand Marina on beautiful Lake Lanier or at the Mountain Education Center in the northeast Georgia mountains. Daytime programs scheduled at Elachee for the months of August, September, January or February receive a 15% discount.
