The animals of the nighttime forest welcome you to experience
the excitement and mystery of the Chicopee Woods after dark!
Join us for a fun and educational evening at
our NightFall celebration - a non-scary, natural
alternative to traditional Halloween events.
Come dressed as your favorite critter or character if you wish or have our face painters provide you with a themed decoration.

Pizza and drinks will be available to purchase for those hungry adventurers.
You can also stop by the Nature Shop to buy a special edition NightFall T-shirt or favorite stuffed critter.

| Highlights of the Event Include: |
Awakening the Bear | Guided Night Hikes.
Enter the nighttime forest for a non-scary adventure! You'll meet costumed Elachee naturalists
garbed as creatures of the night and
learn about their life after dark. These hikes on our paved trail are led by one of our naturalists and leave every 15 minutes for a 30-45 minute adventure. Bring a flashlight to help navigate your way. |

Face Painting.
Have your face, hand or arm adorned with a bat, pumpkin or other fall-themed figure by one of our staff at the face painting station. Children love to show off their unique decorations while enjoying the other activities. |

Kids Crafts.
Make a fun craft with a fall theme - spiders and pumpkins and bears, oh my! This raccoon puppet was a crowd favorite! |

Stargazing (weather permitting).
Use one of our telescopes to see stars and constellations in the night sky. Our resident astronomer will help you identify the celestial bodies that are visable that evening. |
