It's the time of year when everyone is yearning for the blooms and blossoms of spring. Elachee can help fill your garden with the spring colors of flowers, leaves and interesting wildlife that are attracted to many of our selections. Choose from a variety of wonderful familiar favorites or try something new from our selection of species not available locally. Most are native species and many will attract beautiful butterflies, songbirds and hummingbirds to your yard providing a feast of wildlife observation.

With the uncertain weather and rain expectations, we hope that you employ wise water-saving techniques for your garden. You can learn more about this at one of our Backyard Conservation Workshops offered this spring. Check out the dates here on our calendar. With this in mind we have chosen many drought resistant varieties including perennials, wildflowers, ferns, grasses, herbs, shrubs, evergreens, and some of our most requested plants, native azaleas.

Many of the plant selections are native to the Southeast United States. Please note this is a unique plant list…many of these species are not likely to be at your neighborhood garden center. We select only plants from reputable growers that are in the best condition. Due to growing conditions, occasionally nature does not produce the quantity or quality of plants that we have requested and we are forced to substitute a selection rather than compromise the quality of the plants. Please check out our descriptive list of selections which are conveniently divided into categories complete with soil specifications and identifying which wildlife will be attracted to the plant. Pictures of selected varieties are shown below for your convenience in choosing.
